Learn how to change your BlockSecOps subscription.
Upgrading Your Plan
How to Upgrade
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select your new plan
- Confirm payment details
- Your upgrade takes effect immediately
Upgrade Pricing
When you upgrade mid-cycle:
- You're charged a prorated amount for the remaining days
- Your new limits apply immediately
- Previous usage is credited
Example:
- You're on Developer ($189/month)
- Halfway through the month, you upgrade to Startup ($489/month)
- You pay: $489/2 (new plan) - $189/2 (credit) = $150
What Happens to Your Data
- All contracts, scans, and results are preserved
- New features become immediately available
- Existing team members retain access
- API keys continue working with new limits
Downgrading Your Plan
How to Downgrade
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select your new (lower) plan
- Confirm the change
- Downgrade takes effect at the end of your billing cycle
Downgrade Timing
- Changes apply at the end of your current billing period
- You keep current features until then
- No refunds for unused time
Data Retention on Downgrade
When you downgrade, you may lose access to:

Important: Your data is not deleted, but you may not be able to access all features until you upgrade again.
User Limits
If your current user count exceeds the new plan's limit:
- Admin retains access
- Other users become inactive
- Reactivate by upgrading or removing users
Project Limits
If you exceed project limits:
- All projects remain accessible (read-only)
- You cannot create new projects
- Upgrade or archive projects to resume
Changing Between Monthly and Annual
Switch to Annual Billing
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Switch to Annual
- Pay the annual amount (save 17%)
- New billing cycle starts immediately
Note: The remaining balance from your monthly plan is credited.
Switch to Monthly Billing
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Switch to Monthly
- Change takes effect at annual renewal
- You keep annual benefits until then
Canceling Your Subscription
How to Cancel
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm cancellation
- Access continues until billing period ends
What Happens After Cancellation
- Account downgrades to Free tier
- You keep 3 scans/month
- Data is retained for 90 days
- You can reactivate anytime
Data Retention
After cancellation:
- Contracts: Retained
- Scan results: Retained for 90 days
- Projects: Converted to Free tier limits
- Team members: Become inactive
Add-Ons
Adding Users
On Startup tier and above:
- Extra users: $100/user/month
- Add in Settings → Organization → Add Member
- Billed on your next cycle
Adding Projects
On Startup tier and above:
- Extra projects: $50/project/month
- Billed automatically when you exceed limits
Removing Add-Ons
- Remove users in Settings → Organization
- Archive projects in Projects → Settings
- Changes reflected on next billing cycle
FAQ
Can I upgrade in the middle of a billing cycle?
Yes! Upgrades are prorated. You only pay for the remaining days at the new rate.
Can I downgrade in the middle of a billing cycle?
You can initiate a downgrade anytime, but it takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Will I lose my data if I downgrade?
No. Your data is preserved, but you may lose access to certain features until you upgrade again.
Can I switch from monthly to annual mid-cycle?
Yes! Your remaining monthly balance is credited toward the annual price.
What if I cancel and want to come back?
You can reactivate anytime. Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation.
Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling?
Contact support for pause options on Professional and Enterprise plans.
