Configure email alerts for security scans and vulnerability findings.

Overview

BlockSecOps sends email notifications for important events:

  • Scan completions and failures
  • Critical and high-severity findings
  • Weekly security digests
  • Team assignments and mentions

Notification Settings

Access Settings

  1. Click your profile icon (top right)
  2. Select Notification Preferences
  3. Configure email settings
  4. Save changes

Notification Types

Notification Default Description
Scan completed On Your scans finish
Scan failed On Your scans error
Critical vulnerability On Critical findings detected
High vulnerability Off High findings detected
Vulnerability assigned On Findings assigned to you
Weekly digest On Weekly summary
Team announcements On Organization updates

Digest Timing

  1. Go to Notification Preferences
  2. Under Digest Schedule:
    • Daily: Select time (e.g., 9:00 AM)
    • Weekly: Select day and time
  3. Select timezone
  4. Save

Email Filtering

Severity Filter

Only receive emails for findings above a threshold:

  1. Notification Preferences → Severity Filter
  2. Select minimum: Critical, High, Medium, or All
  3. Save

Scanner Filter

Only receive emails from specific scanners:

  1. Notification Preferences → Scanner Filter
  2. Select scanners to include
  3. Save

Unsubscribe Options

Per-Email Unsubscribe

Each email includes an unsubscribe link for that specific notification type.

Bulk Unsubscribe

  1. Go to Notification Preferences
  2. Click Unsubscribe from All
  3. Confirm

Note: Critical security alerts cannot be fully disabled for account owners.
